Silvio Calabi has been a journalist and an editor of outdoor magazines for 40 years and is currently North American editor of Conservation Frontlines. He is the author of Hemingway’s Guns as well as a series of Gun Books—for boys, girls and parents—aimed at bringing safety and sanity into the modern uproar over firearms.
Herman Karl, PhD, is a research scientist (MIT faculty, co-founder of MIT-USGS Science Impact Collaborative, Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation) focused on consensus-based decision-making in the context of contentious environmental disputes and keenly interested in the intersectionality between environmental and gun issues.
